As we already know men and women are very different especially when it comes to how we look at relationships and most of all MONEY. I grew up in household where both of my parents had full time jobs, however my mother make a substancial amount more than my dad. That fact did not affect my dad at all seeing that he knew he was still putting in his fair share. But what about the husband, or boyfriend who is unemployed and unable to put in his fair cut.
One thing to remember especially in a marriage is that it’s a partnership. Separating bills or debt is not a good idea. Instead both of you should sit and budget together and maintain positive discussions through out the process. Compliments are necessary as well as to not make your partner who might be a bit care free with money not feel completely incompetent.
As you both work out your money issues together keep in mind that your main goal is to pass a legacy down to your children and grand children. The money is not to be kept to solely one person. Think about it this way you are building upon something for not just you and your spouse for generations to come.
