Toys for the Rich: Diamond Contacts
Luxury Guide, Toys for the Rich on September 6, 2011

Luxury and beauty have been taken to a whole new level. Now, for a cool $15,000, you can bring the twinkle of diamonds to your eyes. Yes, real diamonds in the form of diamond contacts. And depending on what affect your going for the custom made lenses can also be tailored with gold plating. The standard pair offered now through developers, Shekhar Eye Research, are gold-plated, diamond contact lenses encrusted with 18 sparkling diamonds. Now, that’s bling like never before.
But some argue that rather than beautifying, these SER diamond contacts have the affect of scaring people. After all, we are not used to looking into people’s eyes and having the glare of a cat’s eyes at night beaming back. I think that’s the best way it can be described, as cat’s eyes at night. Inventor Chandrashekhar Chawan told TODAY.com that he, “got mixed responses…some said its looks scary, but most of the people loved it.” Chawan added, “Bollywood personalities loved the concept, that it’s going to be ‘in thing’ in fashion soon.”
And while some are concerned with possible health risks involved, Chawan claims the diamond contact lenses are in his words, “very safe.” And while it may cross the mind, SER diamond lenses are a serious attention getter that will steal the show at any major event if worn. For now they may not be mainstream, but Chawan envisions a future where diamond contact lenses replace traditional jewelry such as diamond rings for marriage proposals.

3 Drinks to Order as Wealthy Men at the Bar
Luxury Guide, Rich People, wealthy men on August 12, 2011

When we go out to the bar, as wealthy men, we have an image to upkeep. This means ordering the right kinds of drinks that are revealing to the women around us. So that means no Bud Light, Coors Light, or other cheap domestic beers. The same goes for liquors, no Jack Daniels or Bacardi. And never, ever order wine. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, the more important part comes, what drinks DO we order as wealthy men? Well, here we are going to give you 3 general drinks with many more possibilities.
Wealthy Man Drink 1: Simply put, order a Martini. Nothing says I am sophisticated and have money quite like the shape of a Martini glass. And because it is pretty much just alcohol, go top shelf. Don’t order any cheap vodkas or gins. Instead, you go with the expensive stuff, so when the ladies ask, they know how you roll.
Wealthy Man Drink 2: Order a scotch. Again, here, don’t go cheap. Johnnie Walker is your best bet, and no Red or Black label. We only except Green or higher. Preferably Blue because it’s the best. And don’t water it down. This is the top of the top, so we either take it straight or on the rocks.
Wealthy Man Drink 3: If you have to drink a beer than it must beer rare and expensive to go along with the taste of rich men. For this reason, we suggest you go with a Trappist beer, which is usually made by monks in only Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany in a tradition that dates back a 1,000 years ago. Westmalle and Chimay are a good start if you have never tried one.

I know this sounds amazing, but there are a few things to consider. First, the minimal viewing distance is 15 feet. Oh, and by the way, did I mention that it only cost a half-million dollars; yeah, that’s a pretty big second point to consider. Still, even wealthy people are entitled to window shop and fantasize about bigger TV’s. If you really want to grasp just how big of a dream this TV is, just take a look at the picture in the post.
